MDRTBTx-Monitor
Evaluation of alternative bacteriological measures of response to therapy during the initial 16 weeks of MDR-TB treatment [MDRTBTx-Monitor]
Contribution to COVID-19
pandemic control
I successfully conducted the verification exercise and on May 10th 2020 and presented the results to the team.
I was tasked to join the team as a technical expert to set up the Xpert Xpress SARS-CoV-2 testing at Malaba border point: which I did on 11/May/2020 and later at Mutukula border point on 15th -16th May 2020. Our manuscripts of this experience and other aspects of COVID-19 are under advanced stages of peer-review for publication.
On 26th May 2020, I received a request from the Commissioner National Health Laboratory and Diagnostic Services to conduct a biosafety assessment and training at ELEGU border point which I completed on 27th May 2020. We published 3 COVID-19 related articles for publication. I am leading validation of novel methods for TB/COVID-19 coinfection determination with American and European Partners.
